The history of our company begins centuries ago in Canavese, land of metal masters. This is why Canavese is still today a flourishing area for mechanical industries and a recognized technological district in the automotive world.

Codex, along with many other companies in the area, began its activity in the supply chain of Fiat Group. We are now serving different OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients in different markets worldwide. During the years we have specialized in the production of valves for oil regulations, rotors for vane and oil pumps, transmission shafts, pins, flanges, hubs and spacers for diverse applications. All the components we produce follow a qualitative and engineering process to comply with our clients’ standards and demands in order to guarantee the best result in terms of performance, price and overall product’s quality.

IATF 16949

Codex obtained the IATF 16949 certification after having spent lots of efforts in the maintenance and development of an efficient quality management system. This certification demonstrates Codex’ will to maintain high-quality standards to satisfy the automotive requirements.

Obtaining the ISO 14001 certification has set a higher standard for Codex, especially considering the environmental awareness. Since then Codex constantly tries to put into practice methods and behaviors in order to help the preservation of the surrounding environment, paying attention to all aspects of our production.

Plant’s expansion

The tight relationship with some of Codex’ clients, led the company to a great expansion in order to support the consistent demand of products. This has been possible also because Codex has invested in a new facility, in new machinery and tools as well as in skilled personnel that helped increase production volumes.

Codex made a great commitment to acquiring the ISO 9001 certification, allowing the company to adopt a structured and efficient system for quality management. Pol-Mot Holding SA was Codex’ first client. Thanks to this collaboration, Codex had the opportunity to become a Fiat Group’s supplier, due to the fact that, in the early nineties, Fiat bought some of Pol-Mot’s plants where Codex supplied its components.
